How long until science grants us immortality? and what are the consequences?
With all the advances in medicine that i’ve seen in my lifetime alone, it seems conceivable that before old age, i will see science “cure death”
One possibility being whole body transplant or a combination of transplant/human clone. Even cybernetics and the use of nanobots is a feasible possibility.
Would you agree that this will happen?
What will be the consequences if it does?

Black Holes (Astronomy)
Black holes are probably the most fascinating (theoretical) objects in astronomy. Such objects, which scientists believe must exist, would account for the spin-rate of our galaxy, which cannot be explained by the combined mass of the visible stars. But exactly what are black holes?
A paper, “Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society in London,” written as early as 1783 by John Michell, a Cambridge don, pointed out how a star which was massive and compact enough could have such a strong gravitational force that light could not escape it. It took Einstein’s general theory of relativity in the 20th century and the work of an Indian graduate student, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, in 1928, to work out the mathematical details of how massive a star would have to be to spawn a black hole.

Investing in Biotech – How to Profit from the Biopharmaceutical Revolution

Product Description
Until the 1990s it barely existed, but biotech is now a multi-billion dollar industry producing windfall profits. Swro Design and Energy Recovery Part 2: Hydropro Design
Design Requirements
Traditionally Hydropro has always put the needs of the customer into the forefront of its company philosophy. By doing this, Hydropro has always stayed abreast of the latest advancements in technology in the water treatment field. In this case, mostly because of the remote location (nearly everything, including fuel for the diesel generators, is delivered by ship), the most important customer needs were associated with conserving energy and maintaining reliability. Availability of replacement parts was also a major concern due to the remote location and the lead-time required to ship items to the island. Another concern Hydropro had to address was ease of operation and ease of maintenance, as the remote island of Ebye did not have any skilled RO plant operators. The end result would incorporate all these requirements to produce a reliable supply of potable water from a seawater source for the citizens of Ebye.
